Took leave on 1st - 6th November 2014

a short getaway for me in singapore (which i suppose to go bkk? haha)

can't really remember what we did, during that period.

1.) steamboat session on one of the day with sallyfally

2.) caught movies at downtown east + dinner @ just acia

On 2nd November,

bf booked a hotel room at lloyd's Inn

(boohoo staycay for me)

ended up checking in late and kinda disappointed with the rooms

bf booked the business room (deluxe)

and he thought its good enough for a small gathering (about 10pax)

we entered the room, all of us were shocked, it's smaller than my room seriously. We called them and check if they have extra rooms that is bigger. We were told that there's no extra room that is bigger. Another option is the big garden room. Yeah slightly bigger because of the garden outside. Got no choice but to change to the garden room. Boy asked the reception people (looks like manager or higher rank ppl)

Boy: why your photos from your website are different from the reality?

He: Oh really? I think its because of my photographer that take nice photos.

Cracks our brain, thinking of how should we decorate the room etc.

(LOTS OF WORK DONE)

Sigh didn't managed to the take any pic of the room, kinda pissed and disappointed so yeah. and the reception/signal sucks badly they provides wifi, but still bad.

The next morning, boy and I head out for breakfast

no they don't serve their breakfast at the lobby, you gotta walk out the streets, requires about 10min walk away, and sweat if you're walking under hot sunny weather. And when you're heading back to your hotel after breakfast, you gotta walk up the semi slope.

Anw, we paid $7/each for the breakfast shows above. Else it will be the normal traditional toast set. (kaya toast + egg + coffee)

we went separate way, hunting for a pink birthday dress badly, desperately. ended up getting a top and skirt. Oh wells.

Rush back to decor the room!

Goobycakes

1.) Disappointed by the decoration

bf told me when he went to collect the cakes, it was really plain (like just a normal cake covered with creams) and he also requested to put like heart shapes (they forget bout it) added later by the staff. expected that she'll use the fondant to do it individually but didn't expect that the fondant tag costed us $5. Wow, I can eat a fillet o fish meal. But the color were mixed pretty. Yes, check out their instagram all the cakes looks amazing with all the creation she made.

2.) the taste of the cake.

It's horrible, we ordered red velvet cake. Moist and fluffy? Nope, not at all. Ended up throwing half of the cakes. My guest didn't like it as well. The texture of the cake were pretty bad. It's like first timer baked the cake..

Lesson learnt, "Pictures can be very deceiving."
